My first thought was that it meant I could have cannoli and biscotti and still eat healthy. Fat chance. It meant to eat like healthy Italians and Greeks did in the middle of the last century when it was discovered that they had very low incidence of heart dysfunction. The cookbook has a lot of information about the spices it uses and recommends for various reasons, but I didn't realize that it did not have any red meats until I continue reading on. The recipes are simple and the illustrations are nice. This diet has a lot of seafood and fruits, so if you are not a seafood fan, no worries it does have poultry dishes. This book has a photo for each recipes which makes me think the author has created/and or prepared each recipe which I believe is very I appreciate.
